Zach Shaw was team captain and a 4 year starter at Wisconsin Lutheran College. During his tenure at WLC he passed for a school record 6,013 yards and 63 touchdowns.
“He is a clever player who is good at reading the game and adjust accordingly. He also has a force as a QB coach, and in collaboration with OC John Hansen he will develop the other QB’s in the club.” – Head Coach, Kim Ewé
Zach will join a Gold Diggers team that will participate in the European Football League for the first time in team history. He will also be an assistant offensive coordinator on the U19 team. Helping Danish players develop is a key focus point for the young club that is only in its 10th season.
Zach Shaw will replace one of the best Danish quarterbacks ever (Alexander Cimadon red.) and anchor an offense that is primed for making a strong run in the EFL and for the Danish championship.
“Losing Alexander Cimadon was a big deal. As the only team in the National League, we have always been very proud of being highly competitive with a Danish quarterback. It took years for Cimadon to develop into an elite quarterback. Zach will play a key part in their development as well. We have a solid group of offensive playeres returning this season, and Zach was the final piece of the puzzle for an offense that will be very competitive in the upcoming season.” – Kim Ewé
Zach got his visa approved on March 11th and had his first practice on March 13th.
